Woman rescued after jumping into Jhelum in Sgr | KNO

Srinagar, Apr 08 (KNO): A woman jumped into the river Jhelum from Budshah Bridge in Srinagar on Tuesday, prompting a swift rescue operation by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), officials said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that soon after the incident, SDRF personnel launched a rescue operation and successfully pulled the woman out of the river after hectic efforts. She was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical aid. “Her condition was not known immediately but is said to be stable,” the official added.
